Each year Conservation Halton holds an orientation session for teachers registered to attend the Halton Forest Festival to help prepare them for the event.
Teacher Orientations generally run under an hour and are conducted to help ensure your class is appropriately prepared for the event. We encourage all participating teachers to attend these sessions, particularly new teachers who have never participated in the event so you can:
· Obtain festival materials (i.e. site maps, bus times etc.)
· Learn how many groups your school has been assigned
· Learn about festival logistics, including safety measures and protocol
· Have the opportunity to ask any questions prior to your visit
We also encourage volunteers or parent chaperones to attend, should teachers be unavailable to make the orientation session. It is also encouraged that at least one representative per school attend the orientation session to obtain festival information.
